Re: Emergency Resolution No. 2020-428 (COVID -19)

Visitors and Residents of the Village of Taos Ski Valley,

A Declaration of Emergency by Council Resolution was passed today March 16, 2020,  in order to prepare the Village for operation under Federal and State Declaration and enable qualification for emergency assistance under Federal and State requirements. The Village is responsible for functions of critical industry as defined by Homeland Security but must make efforts to reduce public contact and proximity.

In order to reduce proximity and contact, meetings at the Village Offices must be by appointment.  We can no longer accept packages at the Village Office and Express Mail should make arrangements for alternate delivery.  We need to let you know that this will go into effect on Monday March 23, 2020.  We apologize for having to implement this measure but are doing so for the health and safety of our staff and the greater public.

The option to use the US Post Office for delivery may be a possibility. For more information phone Box Canyon at 575-776-1256.  The summer hours are:
10:00 AM -3:30 PM M-F       10:00 AM – 1:30 PM Saturdays

TBD: all scheduled Village meetings may need to be rescheduled or accessed remotely. We will advise as specific meeting information evolves.

Additionally, please call to make an appointment for meeting with Village Departments. Most staff will work “Remote-Office” a portion of the week.
