Safety and sledding
Being safe…… AND…… having fun!
The Village Public Works Department would like to remind residents and visitors that while winter hopefully brings tons of fresh snow to our mountain along with tons of fun for kids and adults, we want all of our residents and guests to have a safe visit while here. Snow removal equipment will be making huge piles of snow in snow storage areas and it can be enticing for children to dig into these piles to make snow forts or to attempt sledding on them. We would encourage all who are involved with renting to visitors to remind their guests that any snow piles that are on or near Village roads should not be used for such purposes. It is extremely dangerous and unsafe. Snow forts should be made on the owner’s property, away from any snow storage area. Sledding on Village roads is also prohibited due to the danger it imposes. Thank you and have a wonderful winter visit here in Taos Ski Valley!
