Dear Taos Ski Valley Community, 

Here it is windy spring and once again the bulk of our winter snow has melted, revealing trash from a busy ski season. This year we would like to invite everyone who would like, to participate in a Spring Cleanup on Saturday May 24th, 2014. We will meet at 9:00 a.m. at the Village offices at 7 Firehouse Road. Here we will distribute trash bags and “trash grabbers” and send everyone out to different places so we aren’t all overlapping each other. Following the cleanup, our Mayor, Neal King, and his wife, Councilor Kathy Bennett, are hosting a BBQ at their home on Snowshoe Road. Please plan on showing up to the BBQ around 2:00 p.m., and bring a potluck side dish, dessert, or beverage if you would like. There will be people who cannot make the Saturday morning “grand” cleanup but will be participating in picking up trash during the week prior, and they are invited to the BBQ as well. The Village office will have trash bags and “trash grabbers” available during the week. 

Another trash pick-up day and picnic is planned for Thursday June 19, 2014. This clean-up will involve staff from TSV Inc. as well as Village staff, and Village residents.

Please note: the afternoon barbecue on May 24 will present a time for Village residents to ask questions of Mayor King and Councilor Bennett in an informal Town Hall meeting.
